How Gaslog Works
The versatile, modular asset monitoring solution
The Gaslog telemetry system has an open architecture and flexible modular components that adapt to most gas and liquid distribution business needs. It's a total end-to-end solution that includes field equipment and remote communications, with web based applications and gateways for integration with back office applications.
Gaslog has three components:
- Field Equipment
- Flexible Connectivity
- Gaslog Services
Gaslog is a new generation of remote telemetry and web based services. Its carefully engineered mix of versatile field equipment, flexible telecommunications connectivity and robust web services makes it unbeatable.
Field Equipment
- Dialers
The cellular dialer is a sealed, battery powered unit and can be directly wired to two sensors. It is also directly tank mountable eliminating the need for wiring from the tank. The telephone dialer is a sealed, line powered unit that is combined with one or more transmitters to connect the sensors. Each dialer can support up to twelve transmitters via lower power radio located on other tanks at the same site.
- Transmitters
Gaslog transmitters are also tank mountable and can be directly wired to two sensors. They are sealed, battery powered units.
- Sensors
Gaslog includes a unique range of sensors for level, usage and maintenance applications.
Connectivity
- GASLOG GPRS for Data Transmission
Gaslog can communicate via virtually any cellular mobile network. There is no requirement for a customer managed communications infrastructure. The use of industry standard communications technologies ensures that the remote Gaslog units can be easily integrated into an existing corporate network with consequent savings in capital and running costs.
- Telephone Line
The Gaslog system is fully compatible with telephone line communications and is tolerant of low analog line quality.
- ISM Band
Gaslog uses low power radio for site communications between transmitters and dialers.
GASLOG Services
- GASLOG Eagle
- GASLOG Alert
- GASLOG Gateway
